Spirit Filled Designs is a Christian owned and operated jewelry and accessory design and retail business. Spirit Filled Designs was birthed out of a love for accessories and all things bling. As far back as I can remember I’ve loved everything about being a girl. Make up, bows, jewelry, accessories, the colors pink, purple, diamonds, and pearls. Anything that looked or felt girlie has always caught my eye.
As my oldest son Kendall was preparing move into his own place and my younger son Bailey was starting high school, I knew that life was entering a new phase and it was time to find a fulfilling hobby. Spending hours on Pinterest I’d pin all sorts of fashion and accessory ideas often thinking “I bet I can make that”.
Late one night, on a mission to learn to make jewelry I began to study jewelry design and watched several tutorial videos. I knew immediately that this was something I could really see myself doing…it seemed simple enough. Early the next morning I woke up, and went on a quest to purchase tools and supplies to get started.
My first pieces were created as makeover gifts for some of the ladies in my church and all of them received rave reviews. It didn’t take long to realize that while I was good at it, and everyone loved my pieces, my new hobby was still a very expensive one. From there, I just felt the tug of the Holy Spirit to turn my “hobby” into a business. In no hurry to rush into anything I spent the next year building a business model, opening accounts and creating what you see now as Spirit Filled Designs.
Still working a full time job in international transportation, I now pull two full time jobs. Because of this, I am usually only able to create a few new handmade pieces each week (if I’m lucky). Playing in jewelry is therapeutic for me. I crank up my Christian music and create for hours on end often working until the wee hours of the morning. In all honesty, I’m trying to learn balance with my personal life and my careers (both of them)…Being a good wife, Mother, Boss, friend, servant in my church, leader, Bible teacher, and still trying to find me time in there somehow… It’s been a juggle, but it’s the life God has given me, and I love every minute of it.
My first priorities will always be my relationship with Christ first and then my family…everything else follows that order. In addition to my handmade pieces, I also sell retail/ready to wear pieces, scarves, monogrammed/ personalized jewelry and other accessories.
No matter what your price range is, you should be able to find something amazing at Spirit Filled Designs. Only God knows what will come of this venture, but one thing is certain, I LOVE being a woman and that is exactly the “spirit” I want to see women take away when they purchase from my store. The name carries a double meaning and it’s my prayer that every woman will have a greater depth and understanding of the spirit God has placed within her. A beautiful spirit filled with joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self control, but most importantly a spirit of VICTORY…no matter what you’ve been through, God has made us overcomers and it’s that spirit that allows us to smile regardless of what we may “see”…Romans 8:11.
I am always available to my clients, so please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any questions or problems and I will gladly work with you to find a resolution. You can also email prayer requests. My awesome team of prayer warriors will lift them up to God immediately. I look forward to working with you!
The Message (MSG) 9-11 But if God himself has taken up residence in your life, you can hardly be thinking more of yourself than of him. Anyone, of course, who has not welcomed this invisible but clearly present God, the Spirit of Christ, won’t know what we’re talking about. But for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells—even though you still experience all the limitations of sin—you yourself experience life on God’s terms. It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s!
